Seeing the Modes in Few-Mode Fibers through Deep Learning

Abstract

We have first-ever utilized the deep learning (DL) in mode decomposition (MD) for few-mode fiber (FMF). Both of simulations and experiments have demonstrated that DL is highly effective for accurate and fast MD for FMF.
