Demonstration of Directly Modulated DFB Lasers with Negative Chirp

Abstract

Directly modulated DFB lasers with negative chirp have been demonstrated, has 10-mA threshold current, 60-dB SMSR and 20-GHz modulation bandwidth. The negative chirp generated by the modulation is about 25 GHz.
