Curvature Measurement for Flexible Sphere Surface via FBG Shape Sensor

Abstract

An FBG shape sensor is demonstrated. The sensitivity, response time, and the temperature dependency of the sensor are determined. Moreover, the curvature monitoring of the charging and venting process of the flexible sphere is realized.
