Abstract

The photo-stability of bismuth active center associate with silica (BAC-Si) in thermally-quenched Bi/Er co-doped fibers (BEDFs) indicates the slower quenching speed hardly affect the proportion of photo-stable BAC but accelerate the photo-bleaching of unstable BAC.
