Generation and detection of a phase modulated linearly chirped waveform using an orthogonally polarized optical signal

Abstract

An orthogonally polarized optical signal is generated and used to perform data modulation and local carrier generation. As a result, a phase modulated linearly chirped waveform can be obtained and coherent detected.
