Abstract

A distributed optical fiber sensing system based on filtering effect of Mach-Zehnder interferometer is proposed. The light is fed into the sensing fiber from two directions and then enter the interferometer. The location is realized by the time difference of two output signals. The experimental results verify that the system is feasible and stable.
