Silicon Optical Phased Array Side Lobe Suppression Based on an Improved Genetic Algorithm

Abstract

We experimentally demonstrate a 1×128 optical phased array, and an improved genetic algorithm is proposed to efficiently increase the side lobe suppression ratio (SLSR). The measured SLSR can achieve 20 dB with a divergence angle of 0.16°.
