Frequency Stabilization of a Mode-locked Semiconductor Laser Using Simultaneous Optical and Optoelectronic Oscillation Feedback

Abstract

A simultaneous optical and optoelectronic oscillation feedback scheme has been demonstrated to reduce the phase noise of a mode-locked laser diode to -102 dBc/Hz at 10 kHz offset from the carrier frequency of 41GHz.
