Low-Complexity Nonlinear Equalizer for IM/DD Systems

Abstract

We review our recently proposed nonlinear equalizer based on absolute operation for intensity-modulation/direct-detection systems. The proposed equalizer performs similar to the Volterra equalizer, but reduces the implementation complexity considerably.
