Adaptive Probabilistic Shaping of PAM-4 using Polar Codes for FSO Communication

Abstract

An adaptive probabilistic shaping scheme using polar codes is proposed to increase the capacity and combat the fading in FSO system, which outperforms the uniform scheme and PAS-MMB 0.39~0.91dB and 0.10dB respectively in BLER.
