QPSK-Partition Assisted Frequency Offset Estimation for Probabilistically Shaped Coherent Optical Communication Systems

Abstract

A QPSK-partition assisted frequency offset estimation scheme is proposed for probabilistically shaped coherent systems. High FOE accuracy can be achieved under conditions of moderate/strong shaping. The complexity of this scheme is reduced to O(N).
