Training Sequence based Cycle Slip Suppression for FTN-16QAM Coherent Optical Systems

Abstract

A carrier phase estimation algorithm based on training sequence is proposed for FTN-PM-16QAM system. The simulation results show that it could suppress cycle slips and exhibit a linewidth tolerance of 2.2MHz @BER=2E-2 with 0.39% overhead.
