Design of an O-Band Polarization Insensitive SOAs on IMOS for High-Performance Optical Switches

We report the design of a polarization-insensitive SOA in IMOS-platform with worst-case polarization sensitivity of 0.8 dB over 60 nm bandwidth and 26 dB input power range. 500 μm-long SOA provides 21 dB peak gain.
