End-to-end Learning based Bit-wise Autoencoder for Optical OFDM Communication System

Abstract

We propose an end-to-end autoencoder for optical OFDM communication system, which is trained based on bit-wise mutual information (BMI). The simulation results show that the autoencoder can optimize the constellations and achieve BER performance improvement.
