Abstract

A portable rotational sensor based on a modified dual-polarization fiber optic gyroscope is demonstrated, in which the excess relative intensity noise is effectively compensated achieving an enhanced sensitivity of 70nrad/s/Hz in a 2-km-long fiber coil.
