Phase Noise Compensation Based on Two-stage Blind Phase Search for Nonlinear Frequency Division Multiplexing with Discrete Spectrum Modulation

Abstract

We propose two-stage BPS scheme to compensate phase noise in single/two-eigenvalue NFDM system for the first time. Compared with feed-forward BPS, it obtains higher laser linewidth tolerance for 16/32QAM signals at OSNR penalties over 1.5dB.
