Experimental Investigation of PS-PDM-PAM8 Coherent Transmission over Multi-core fiber

Abstract

In this paper we experimentally investigate the performance of 448 Gb/s PS-PDM-PAM8 coherent transmission over multi-core fiber. 22.4 Gb/s improvement in net bit rate can be achieved by using PS-PDM-PAM8 compared with U-PDM-PAM4.
