All-optical Synthesis of 100Gbaud PDM 16-QAM Nonlinear Frequency Division Multiplexing Signal

Abstract

We generate a 100Gbaud nonlinear frequency division multiplexing (NFDM) signal with all-optical synthesis of spectral slices for the first time. A record single-lane data rate of 666.7 Gb/s is achieved with PDM 16-QAM NFDM signaling.
