Abstract

We report the design, fabrication and measurement of a weakly-coupled 7-core-10-mode fiber. The attenuation of LP01 mode is 0.22dB/km and the crosstalk of the cores are less than -50dB/km. This FM-MCF can be used in weakly-coupled SDM systems that allows to multiply the capacity.
