Abstract

The present paper is devoted to the application of the phase conjugation method for the thermal blooming compensation. This problem was discussed previously in a series of papers of different authors1,2,3,4,5,6,7, and the results of these papers indicate of the fact that the phase conjugation application for correction of nonlinear distortions of high power laser beams has some specific features including the instabilities of different type. At the homogeneous horizontal paths the instability appears as parameters oscillations of corrected and reference beams, and at vertical paths the small-scale instability is developed.
