Abstract
SUMMARY: The Canada-France-Hawaii Telescope (CFHT) has recently tested, on the sky, our new adaptive optics bonnette (PUEO). PUEO, in the process of correcting the incoming wavefront, converts the f/8 beam of the telescope into an f/20 beam. To ensure well-sampled images at 0.07 arc-second, the best expected images with PUEO, a focal enlarger was built to convert the f/20 beam, with at plate scale of 0.043 arc-seconds/pixel on a 15 μm pixel CCD, to an f/40 beam, with a plate scale of 0.021 arc-seconds/pixel.
