Low-spatial-coherence broadband fiber source for optical coherence tomography

Abstract

We present a fiber ASE light source which combines high power per mode with low spatial and low temporal coherence. The source is uniquely suited for high-speed speckle-free imaging and ranging applications such as OCT.
