Evolution of Multispectral Image Sensors from Concept/Lab to Application

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

The concept of multispectral imaging has matured from the idea of imaging multiple spectral bands in a monolithic device to high performance multispectral cameras. This presentation will discuss the evolution of the devices, their performance, and camera applications that will benefit from its adoption in industry. It will also discuss the future commercialization efforts and the challenges that must be overcome for it to become a viable alternative imaging platform.
