Molecularly Engineered Semiconductor Cluster Nanocomposites with Large NonLinear Responses and Low Losses

Abstract

Materials can now be molecularly engineered specifically for advanced photonics. Nanocomposites enable passive waveguides with less than 0.5 dB/m loss and active sections with large (i.e. > 1,000) non linear optical responses.
