Abstract

LBO (LiB3O5) crystal is well-known as a high efficiency frequency-converter of laser radiation. A number of advantages make it a routine element of non-linear optical systems for the last 30 years. But applying of LBO in broad-aperture high power laser systems was limited due to difficulties to grow crystals with big sizes.
