Direct Bonding of Periodically-Poled Lithium Niobate Crystals for Broadly Tunable Quasi-Phase Matching

Abstract

We fabricated a 2 mm-thick periodically-poled lithium niobate (PPLN) by direct bonding of two 1 mm-thick PPLNs. A broad spectral range of quasi-phase matched second-harmonic generation was demonstrated by angular tuning.
