Standoff measurement of spectral changes in UV-aged bitumen

Abstract

Laser standoff Instrumentation has been developed to measure surface reflectivity of UV-aged bitumen at four specific mid-IR wavelengths. Preliminary measurements reveal heterogeneity across individual bitumen samples and an overall trend with bitumen age.
