Bandwidth Distribution with Adaptive Threshold-based Optical Burst Assembly in Long-Reach EPON

Abstract

Long-reach PONs (LR-PONs) suffer from high delay due to long feeder distance. Here, we present a new bandwidth distribution approach which adopts multi-server polling in LR-EPON and adaptive threshold-based burst assembly in OBS networks.
