Destruction of Optical Coherent Backscattering by Magnetic Faraday Rotation

Abstract

Measurements of optical coherent backscattering cones from magneto-optically active multiple scattering media in magnetic fields up to 23 T are reported. The observed field induced lowering of the backscattering enhancement and change of the cone shape compare well with a realistic simple model.
