Statistical Properties of Waves Propagating in a Random Environment

Abstract

A diagrammatic approach to evaluate the statistics of the wave intensity in the coherent propagation of light in a random medium is considered; I describe a technique to investigate the underlying random walks by mapping them into spin systems.
