Abstract
A digital representation of the optical path differences of the atmosphere is useful in modeling and analysis of imaging and propagation system. Commonly called phase screens, these models must accurately represent the conditions of the atmosphere as represented by the turbulence spectra. That is, the digital realizations must have spatial statistics that follow the accepted theories of Kolmogorov and Von Karman.
