Abstract

The need for ultra-lightweight high precision optical systems to satisfy spaceborne scenarios such as the Strategic Defense Initiative, tactical weapons, and other military-related activities has driven technology evolution to meet these new stressing requirements. The key areas of technology pursuits are Optics, Structures, Sensors, and Control Systems.
