Abstract

We compare multiple guidestar tomography reconstruction techniques for adaptive optics systems designed to correct over a wide field of view. Two different approaches that are commonly presented in the literature are shown to be mathematically equivalent but have differing interpretations and numerical consequences. We demonstrate with simulations and also present some early test results from experiments with the multi-guidestar AO testbed at the Laboratory for Adaptive Optics.
