Microwave photonics filtering technique for interrogating Fiber Bragg grating transverse load sensors

Abstract

A transverse load fiber Bragg grating (FBG) sensor exploiting microwave photonics filtering technique is presented and experimentally demonstrated. The proposed sensor has the advantages of higher resolution, remote sensing and adjustable sensitivity.
