Abstract

This study proposes the notched long-period fiber grating (NLPFG) temperature sensor fabricated by inductive couple plasma (ICP) etching. The experimental results show that the largest sensitivity of the NLPFG sensor is 0.107 nm/°C. Therefore, the NLPFG temperature sensor possesses superior sensitivity.
