High-resolution fiber laser static strain sensor using beat frequency interrogation technique

Abstract

A distributed feedback fiber laser is used for static strain sensing by beating with another fiber laser which is locked to a temperature compensation FBG resonator. A sub-0.5 nε resolution is achieved.
