Abstract

An impact localization method using four FBG sensors based on short-time energy characterization and SVM is proposed and verified on a CFRP plate with 300mm* 300mm experiment area. By optimizing the free parameters of short-time energy characterization extraction method and SVM models, the experiment showed that most of the results are satisfying.
