An Extension Apparatus for a Large Range of Optical Delay Line in Distributed Polarization Coupling Measurement

Abstract

We propose a new extension method of optical delay line for the demand of long-time delay in measurement. The method, combination of a scanning stage and switchable fixed delays, can provide an ultra-large range without increasing the insertion loss.
