Ultra-high-efficiency light absorption of monolayer graphene at telecommunication wavelengths by critical coupling

Abstract

We numerically demonstrate graphene-based perfect absorption structure in the visible and near-infared by using critical coupling mechanism, in which the absorption of monolayer graphene can significantly reach 98.4% at telecommunication wavelengths.
