Abstract

Tunable narrow line laser emissions with a high spectral purity and a high output energy are required for meteorological applications of the Differential Absorption Laser method . In this respect vibronic solid-state laser emitting in the near infrared are very promising for airborne and space applications to water vapor ( at 730 nm ) and temperature and pressure ( at 765 nm ) measurements.
