Abstract

Laser action in Pr³⁺ has been observed in several hosts as well as for several different transitions.(1-3) Kaminskii et al have in addition reported flashlamp pumped laser action in several fluoride crystals, among these BaY₂F₈ and LiLuF₄^(4,5).
