Abstract

Tunable continuous wave laser emission is observed for the ³H₄→³H₅ transition in Tm³⁺:LiYF₄ at room temperature with titanium:sapphire laser pumping. Emission is observed on eleven laser lines within the range 2.295μm to 2.424μm.
