Abstract

Some crystal growth aspects of large core-free Cr,Ce,Nd:GGG boules have been studied. The 65 mm in diameter and 200 mm of total length Cr,Ce,Nd: GGG crystals with the flat crystal- melt interface were grown by the Czochralski technique. Solarization phenomena, spectroscopic and laser properties of Ce,Cr,Nd:GGG crystals have been investigated. For the flashlamp pumped laser with the Ce,Cr,Nd:GGG rod the 7.5% slope efficiency was obtained.
