Abstract

The results of the investigations of a frequency doubled Cr:Nd:YSGG laser containing KTP crystal as a frequency doubler are presented. The efficiency about 1% at output energy of SHG pulses of ~0.125 and pulse repetition rate of 50Hz have been reached by using the multimode polarization coupled Cr:Nd:YSGG laser. The scheme of the double-beam Cr:Nd:YSGG laser with a polarization closed resonator was proposed in order to increase an over-all output energy. The KTP crystals for laser tests have been grown by the top-seed method from fluxes on K2O – KPO3. SHG efficiency of about 80% was reached by using low-divergent flat-top beam of the fundamental radiation.
