Abstract

Two different tetravalent chromium-doped single crystals, GSAG (Gd3Sc2Al3O2) and GIGG (Qd3ln2Ga3O12). demonstrated Q-switch operation. Material properties and results obtained using different laser resonators, Including stable, linear Nd:YAG cavities, are discussed.
