Abstract

Average powers as high as 170 mW with 17% energy conversion efficiency were generated in a nearly degenerate AgGaSe2 optical parametric oscillator pumped by a Q-switched Ho:YLF laser operating at 2.06 pm and 100 Hz repetition rate. Frequency doubling of 10.6 pm CO2 laser input with 20.7% efficiency and average output power of 1.1 W at 30 kHz was also demonstrated.
