Diode-Pumped Nd:YAG Lasers Using Solid Non-Focussing Collector Geometry

Abstract

A Q-switched diode-array pumped Nd:YAG laser using a robust solid nonfocussing collector geometry has been modelled and demonstrated to have a uniform gain cross-section, and high tolerance of misalignment. Q-switched operation with millijoule output pulse energies is described.
