High-Efficiency Synchronously Pumped Degenerate KTP Optical Parametric Oscillator

Abstract

We have demonstrated 62% energy conversion efficiency in a 2.12-μm degenerate KTP optical parametric oscillator pumped with a 1.06-μm mode locked and Q-switched pulse. The oscillator is synchronously-pumped and has very high output coupling.
