Abstract

A Q-switched diode-pumped oscillator utilizing a GRM in a stable resonator is presented with output near 100 mJ at ≤ 1.5× diffraction-limited and 5% electrical efficiency. High beam quality is maintained when amplified in diode-pumped Nd:YAG to 700 mJ, 100 Hz at ≤ 2.0× diffraction-limited without the need for phase conjugation. Scaleability to higher repetition, energy, and efficiency is illustrated.
