Laser Operation of 1.76 μm Pumped Ho:Tm:LuAG

Abstract

Laser action has been demonstrated with 1.76μm pumped Ho:Tm:LuAG and compared to 0.78μm pumping. Preliminary results suggest that pumping at 1.76μm yields more efficient laser operation than pumping at the more commonly used 0.78μm, at lower output coupler reflectivities.
